ARMS provides a range of services and programs that are developed on a needs basis in consultation with community members and other stakeholders. We recognise that key factors in successful resettlement include proficiency in English language and literacy skills, meaningful and long-term employment and support of families and communities.

Through our programs, we also aim to:

  • raise cross-cultural awareness and understanding within the community
  • provide opportunities for people from diverse cultures to work together.
  • provide rewarding volunteer opportunities

ARMS and our Centres exist without recurrent funding. We are dependent on grants and financial contributions to continue providing these services. We would like to thank our donors and supporters, particularly the Department of Employment and Industrial Relations, Education Queensland, Gaming Community Benefit Fund, ADC, Boeing Australia, Brisbane City Council, QUT Staff Welfare Fund, United Way Sydney, Oblong and Sons, Anglicare and the Anglican Diocese of Brisbane, as well as some generous individual donors.
